For this edition of Paréidolie, our gallery is presenting a selection of works that we feel respond appropriately to the urgency of the world, confronting these heavy times with a form of poetry. For the first time at Paréidolie, we're presenting a rare and exceptional collection by the great architectural theorist Claude Parent. His drawings and inks, far from being extensions of his architectural projects, offer an iconoclastic vision of the major problems - and utopias - of our world. Echoing this, Clément Bagot's work casts a critical eye on our environment, playing simultaneously with the infinitely large and the infinitely small. In a figurative style, the Chevalme sisters and Amélie Barnathan tackle the weight of past and contemporary history. For the Chevalme sisters, this history is of course that of post-colonisation Africa, and for Amélie Barnathan it is that of the discovery of the immense territories of a feminine unconscious freeing itself from the shackles of patriarchy. Finally, we present one of Philippe Favier's latest creations, always proceeding with tenderness and humour, seemingly harmless, to show us, without ever being certain, that utopia or heterotopia are our condition.
