This wall clock offers a stuttering, a form of repetition and a way of putting time itself in abomination. Many of Franck David's works are only variations of everyday objects. Here, a working clock refers back to the territories of language and the way in which signs participate in a redefinition of the work. The language principles here replace the reassuring logic of standardized numbers to open up a space for questioning the springs of our everyday life.
