Quantity

Since 2009, the La Tourette convent built by Le Corbusier for the Dominicans, holds an agenda of contemporary art exhibitions, in order to generate a fruitful dialogue between architectural patrimony and contemporary creation.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Le Corbusier’s death and as part of the contemporary art Biennale of Lyon in 2015, Anish Kapoor was invited to make his art communicate with Le Corbusier’s architectural work.

This exceptional encounter renews the way we look at the convent’s architecture as well as the art pieces themselves.

This book resonates with the masterful presence of the artist’s work that is exhibited in the Château de Versailles from the 9th of June to the 1st of November 2015.
