  Une Spiritualité au...

  Fifteen artists, among them the likes of Tania Mouraud, Carole Benzaken, Valérie Belin, Rossella Bellusci, Annick Roubinowitz, Hélène Mugot, etc., came together to explore the notion of spirituality with their feminine identity. Through the means of sixty works, of which certain are new, they propose a plural reading of spirituality.
  
  The art (installations, photographs, videos, sculptures…) alternates between fragility and intimacy, thus offering a sensitive attempt at the restitution of spirituality.
  
  Each of these artists explore several themes: “Being-in-the-World,” “Spiritual Childhood,” “Intimacies of a Body-Heart,” “Secret Garden,” “In Her Wake,” “Consumed by Fire,” “Presence Absent,” “Transmutation,” “The Time of Silence,” “Body of Light and Tears” and “Terra Incognita.”

  Henri Matisse, La...

  From 1942 to 1954, Sister Jacques-Marie, originally Monique Bourgeois, describes her encounter with Henri Matisse that lead to the creation of the Rosaire Chapel in Vence.
  
  As the last, ultimate project of the artist, it is considered to be the culmination of his entire works.
  
  Henri Matisse stated: “This work required four years of exclusive, constant effort ,and it is the fruit of my whole working life. In spite of all its imperfections, I consider it as my masterpiece.”
  Sister Jacques-Marie recounts the friendship and the complicity she shared with the painter throughout the years, resulting in the chef d’œuvre, the Rosaire Chapel in Vence.
  
  Reproductions of drawings by Matisse, previously unpublished archived photographs, excerpts of the letters exchanged with the artist, as well as a preface written by the director of the Château de Villeneuve (Zia Mirabdolbaghi) and the former curator of the Cateau-Cambrésis Museum (Dominique Szymusiak), complete the text.
