In 2011, the Centre d'Art Verrier de Meisenthal invites the designer Régis Mayot for a residency in its workshops. After numerous experiments, Régis Mayot has freed himself from the classic use of glassmakers' moulds, but has now set out to reveal the "tool-mould" whose aesthetics are the result of the technical and mechanical performance for which he is responsible. Through a moulding process, the designer reveals the mechanical beauty of these tools by producing the impressions of a selection of moulds, then blown by the glassmakers. The "Jeanne" series, named after one of the moulds, is thus born, reminding us how important it is to not just see, but to take the time to look. A co-production with the CIAV Meisenthal.
