Claire Trotignon
CLAIRE TROTIGNON, born in 1985, lives and works in Tours.
Claire Trotignon's collages depict landscapes where emptiness reigns supreme and ruins emerge that seem to belong as much to the most ancient past as to a future that is already obsolete. Composed of collages of pieces of old engravings, drawings and gouaches, she produces temporal collisions that nod to the great history of art. Her style and rigorous composition have enabled her to exhibit in major French institutions and she has recently been awarded several prizes (Prix Pierre Cardin, Prix Carta Bianca, etc.).
