Claude Lévêque - Genre humain
On the occasion of the exhibition Genre humain at the palais Jacques Cœur in Bourges (June - October 2015), Claude Lévêque created an original photographic print in limited edition.
« Genre Humain » (human kind) is an original photograph that, according to Claude Lévêque, summarizes his practice and relationship to the world. It was taken nearby Nevers and represents a landscape of rare complexity where the blurring of signs and objects generates a precarious beauty. Through this non romantic vision, he shows how his artistic devices interrogate the social determinisms that structure our culture by reenchanting contemporary narratives’ modalities.
