Born in Brooklyn in 1927, Katz is considered as one of the founding fathers of American pop art. Since the beginning of the 80s, he has become one of the leading artists of cool painting, by studying the human figure and more specifically portraits in a fluid style.
This edition is a series of 18 hand drawings made with ink that reveal his talent and genie. Each one of his characters seems deeply absorbed by his thoughts, imagination and preoccupations. Only one figure subsists out of context.
These drawings are accompanied by poems by Vincent Katz.
