In October 2022, the Maison des arts de Pékin - Yishu 8 celebrates its tenth anniversary at the Musée national des arts asiatiques-Guimet. Twenty young French and Chinese artists wrote to each other and then delicately placed their postcards in the display cases of the museum's China collection. This subtle correspondence gave rise to the exhibition ‘Bons Baisers de Pékin’. This account reveals the incredible story of Yishu 8, a Franco-Chinese artists' residency that has become a key venue for creative exchange between China and France.

A philosopher by training, Christine Cayol has lived in China since 2002. She is the founder of the Maison des Arts de Pékin-Yishu 8 and the author of several essays on Chinese culture.

A former director of the École nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Henry-Claude Cousseau is chairman of the Yishu 8 association and of the selection committee for the Yishu 8 Prize.
