Laure Albin Guillot (Paris, 1879-1962) was a resounding name that was meant for fame, we could read following WWII. The French photographic landscape of this mid-century was indeed profoundly marked by the style and aura of this artist who was probably the most exhibited and famous during her lifetime.
Following the exhibition organized in 2013 at the Musée du Jeu de Paume, a great retrospective show gathering over 200 artworks, starting in September 2018, the Maison Nationale des Artistes (MNA) showcases an exclusive selection of photographs that intends to shed light on the personality of this artist which complex and controversial work remains under-estimated.
