Réjean Peytavin / Karyotypes Freaks 823-1

In the workshops of the Centre d'Art Verrier de Meisenthal (CIAV), the designer and artist Réjean Peytavin and the glassmakers have been working closely together since 2018 to create the Karyotypes Freaks series. The originality of these creations is that they assemble, while hot, two glass balls of different colours, so that each one colours one half of the future piece. Then the incandescent glass is blown into a mould recomposed from two halves of different moulds. The glassblower's breath thus creates each time a unique piece. A co-production with the CIAV Meisenthal.
