Patrick Tosani - Paysage
The artist Patrick Tosani has spent the last twenty years or so developing his atypical approach to photography.
Born in 1954 in Boissy-l’Aillerie (Val-d’Oise, France), Patrick Tosani studied architecture in Paris from 1973 to 1979, and then photography. He has spent the last twenty years or so developing his atypical approach to photography. To examine the power of an image, Tosani claims to employ “the most objective methods in photography: precision, frontal shots, sharpness, color, and enlargement.” He is considered the pioneer of plastic art photography in France. Patrick Tosani lives and works in Paris.

For the past 20 years, Patrick Tosani has developped an unusual practice of photography. He defens the use of "the most objective meens of photography: precision, frontality of clichés, sharpness, colour, expansion" in order to interrogate the strength of the image. Patrick Tosani is now considered as the pioneer of plastic photography in France. He works and lives in Paris.
